Staff at our sister company Solway Books are pleased to be able to support a new writer with a base in Kirkcudbright. Andy Mitchell has written and published the first in a series of children's books about birds. The first is 'How the Birds Started an Orchestra' and it has been charmingly illustrated by Anna Wright. The picture book tells the story of a baby blackbird who organises his friends so that they sing together in harmony at daybreak and sunset. Aimed at toddlers and early readers this new book is available from Solway at £5.99.
